Surrounding a fairytale 13th century château, our former Lafite-Rothschild vineyard, Château Ramafort has consistently produced the finest Médoc Cru Bourgeois wines for over three centuries.

Château Ramafort is vinified in a powerful fruit-forward style, with ripe dark fruits, balanced by a rich, medium to full-bodied palate, with a perfumed nose of violet and mild spices, and smooth silky tannins.

With Cabernet Sauvignon (50%) growing on gravel based soil, and Merlot (50%) growing on limestone-clay based soil, our unique terroir delivers rich and complex wines with minimal intervention, winning awards and recognition around the world.

Our philosophy is somewhat different to many in Bordeaux. In 1990 we built the largest underground cellar in the region, locally known as "The Cathedral", where we have the ability to stock over 10 separate vintages, releasing the wines as the become ready to drink.

Château Ramafort 1995 was the first Médoc vineyard to win the Coupe des Cru Bourgeois, our 2000 vintage scored 90 points in Wine Spectator,  our 2005 vintage scored  90 points in the International Challenge, and in 2009 and 2010 we again scored 90 points in Wine Spectator.

Today vintages from 2000 to 2005 are currently being enjoyed in over 40 countries around the world.
